Oysterponds Historical Society
Founded in 1944, Oysterponds Historical Society (OHS) maintains seven historically-significant buildings, cares for 8+ acres of grounds, and actively manages a collection of over 60,000 items. Every year OHS offers myriad compelling exhibitions of contemporary or historical significance, lectures, webinars, and other community events and activities focused on the North Fork hamlets of Orient and East Marion and open to the public. Additionally, three of OHS’s historic buildings are open to the public on a regular basis during the summer months.
