Mudd’s Vineyards
Mudd’s Vineyards viticulture expert, vineyard development / management consultant and farmer Steve Mudd have been working on Long Island’s North Fork since 1973.
Anthony Nappa Wines
Launched by Winemaker Anthony Nappa and Chef Sarah Evans Nappa in 2007 with the production of 200 cases of Long Island Pinot Noir, this family winery makes unadulterated, handcrafted wines that are a reflection of the unique maritime climate. They combine new world technology and old-world traditions that focus on accentuating the full expression of the grapes grown in this place - Vineyards Long Island .
Bedell Cellars
Kip & Susan Bedell planted their first grapevines in 1980, with Kip earning the moniker “Mr. Merlot” from Wine Spectator. Bedell was sold to the Lynne family in 2000. Today, it stands the forefront of creativity and excellence in the modern American wine industry – widely regarded as the benchmark winery in the eastern U.S. Bedell produces wines that define the North Fork maritime terroir. They combine refined techniques with sustainable farming, indigenous fermentation and artistic blending on the Vineyards Long Island.

Produced by Lieb Cellars, Bridge Lane is named after the farm road adjacent to one of Lieb’s vineyards and is Lieb’s second label. The grapes for Bridge Lane wines are grown sustainably on Lieb’s estate vineyard and sourced from some of the best vineyard sites in New York State. They grow (and find) the good stuff!
Castello di Borghese
In 1998 Alex & Louisa Hargrave, pioneers of the vineyards Long Island, sold to Ann Marie and Marco Borghese, a couple who loved wine and had deep respect for tradition, and whose noble heritage date back to medieval Italy.
In 1999 the vineyard was renamed Castello di Borghese – producing award-winning wines. In 2014, their children took over and proudly continue the legacy of producing superb, sophisticated wines that have won numerous international awards. They are often listed as Borghese Vineyard and Winery.
Chronicle Wines
In 2017, Alie Shaper (Brooklyn Oenology, Haywater Cove and As If Wines) and Robin Epperson-McCarthy (Saltbird Cellars) joined forces and opened a tasting room on the North Fork. In 2019, Alie and Robin launched Chronicle Wines, binding together their wine “stories”, tasting room, and community experiences within one collective. Most recently, they dreamt up VINette, the breezy, dry canned spritzers made with local grapes + all-natural flavors.
Coffee Pot Cellars
Coffee Pot Cellars, named New York State’s Best Rosé producer in 2019, is a family-owned boutique producer of high quality wines that have received a variety of awards.
Croteaux Vineyards
Croteaux is the only vineyard in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to growing vinifera grapes for making only rosé. Planted in 2003, their vineyards, winery, and tasting garden are set against the backdrop of two historic farms, which have been in continuous agricultural production since the 1700s. This is the perfect setting in the summer for tasting and experiencing their delicious wines. Be sure to try the Merlot 181 and the Chloe Sparkling, made with Cabernet Franc – they pair perfectly with fresh raw oysters.
Duck Walk Vineyards
Duck Walk Vineyards produces high quality wine in vineyards Long Island, Wine Country. Encompassing 140 scenic acres and producing 5,000 cases of awarding winning wine each year, Duck Walk has become a staple in one of the most famed growing regions in the country. Their wines are handcrafted to be distinctive and exceptional. At the heart of it all is the Damianos family with experience and dedication to creating great wine since 1994.
Jamesport Vineyards
Jamesport is a father-son collaboration that began in 1986, making it one of the North Fork’s oldest vineyards. It now moves to its third generation of winemakers, creating wines of classic beauty — with balance, complexity and harmony. Their signature style has often been described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove,” a reference to the artful balance between ripeness and restraint, softness and structure.
The Goerler family are “stewards of the land” practicing sustainable viticulture that minimizes environmental impact. They adhere to the same practices throughout the entire winemaking process.
Jason’s Vineyard
Jason Damianos founded Jason’s Vineyard in Jamesport, planted in 1996, using only the finest clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. He pioneered using the dense spacing of vines on the North Fork – modeled after renowned regions like Bordeaux, to reduce grape yields and intensify wine flavors
Kontokosta Winery

Lenz Winery
One of the first Vineyards Long Island, Lenz was formally established in 1978 by Peter & Patricia Lenz. Inspired by their friends the Hargraves who established the first North Fork winery, they planted gewürztraminer, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and pinot noir. Peter & Deborah Carroll purchased and continue the founding legacy of Lenz, producing world-class red, Rosé, white, dessert and Cuvée wines that consistently win awards and are enjoyed by all
Lieb Cellars
Founded by Mark Lieb in 1992, Lieb Cellars has grown from a modest 12-acre vineyard to 3 vineyard sites totaling 54 acres, all planted on sandy-loam soils less than a mile from the Long Island Sound or Peconic Bay.
They have 11 vinifera varieties planted (Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Teroldego, Lagrein, Gold Muskateller) and their vines are some of the oldest on Long Island. Winemaker Russell Hearn produces some of the finest wines on the North Fork. They boast the largest contiguous plot of Pinot Blanc in the US at 14 acres. Lieb Cellars is a proud member of Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing.
Macari Vineyards
Though Macari Vineyards was not established until 1995, the Macari family has owned the 500-acre waterfront farm for over fifty years. Joseph Macari Jr. is considered a pioneer in the movement towards natural farming on Long Island through his adoption of biodynamic principles since the vineyard’s first plantings. The Macari family creates wines known for quality and individuality. "A shining example of the term 'family business', Macari Vineyards is now run by three generations, and each contributes to its success." They produce some of the most well-known and popular wines on Long Island. The Sauvignon Blanc and Bergen Road Red are must-tries.
Mattebella Vineyards
Family-owned Mattebella is an artisanal producer of fine, old world style wines of the highest quality that pair well with a wide variety of food. They’re committed to a cleaner, healthier, environmentally-friendly method of farming. Their sustainable practices combined with hand crafted winemaking allow them to consistently produce wines that reflect the exceptional North Fork terroir.
McCall Wines
Russ McCall planted his first vineyard in the mid 1990s. 2007 was the first vintage worthy of bottling. Since then he has followed a model of winemaking focused on getting consistent results. Quality begins with farming. Their sustainable, low-yield vineyard practices allow their winemaker to work with only the finest grapes, the foundation of any distinguished wine. Pinot Noir – a difficult grape to grow on Long Island, is one of the many wines they produce that are consistently delicious. McCall was named “Winery of the Year” at the 2013 New York Wine & Food Classic.

One Woman Wines & Vineyards
Claudia Purita, originally from Calabria, Italy, is the ‘One Woman’ of this unique vineyard. She personally plants and nurtures each vine, believing the results are in the tasting of the final wines. The vineyard, winery and adjacent farm is maintained with strict sustainability standards.
Palmer Vineyards
Founded in 1983 by Bob Palmer among the vineyards of Long Island, Bob set out to produce wines of excellent quality, saying “I have to set the standards high – my name is on every bottle.” Today, owned and operated by the Massoud Family of Paumanok Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards has established itself as one of the most visible and well-reputed Long Island estate wineries. Throughout the years, the vineyard and its wines have received numerous accolades.
